“Bonus” incites laughters again

Bonus Card 6th International Comedy Films Festival

Realized by TÜRSAK Foundation and sponsored by Bonus Card, the Bonus Card 6th International Comedy Films Festival will meet the cinema lovers in Istanbul between November 23-29, 2007. Featuring about 40 titles in its program this year, the festival will start with an opening ceremony in Beşiktaş Cultural Center at November 23.

The opening film of the festival will be making its Turkey premiere.

Successfull comedy actress of the Turkish theatre and silver screen Demet Akbağ will receive the “Comedy Honour Award” at the opening night of the festival while a tribute section is dedicated to the legendary thesp of the Turkish screen Şener Şen, featuring his classic movies.

This Year’s Festival…

“Europe Laughs” which is devoted to masterpieces of hilarity that recently shook the Old Continent, “What Made us Laugh” which summarizes the sensational comedies of the last year, “American Independents” which features the 20 awards winner “Expiration Date” and the short film zone “Short and Funny” are among the sections of the 6th edition of the Bonus Card International Comedy Films Festival.

“Family Comedies”, the surprize section of the sixth edition of the Bonus Card International Comedy Films Festival lines up a funny selection from the subgenre’s latest offerings such as “I Hate My Best Friends Kids”, “In Mom’s Head” and “3 Amis”.

The Most Serious Comedy Film of the festival will be voted by the audience once again this year.

The venues of the Bonus Card 6th International Comedy Films Festival are Cinebonus Maçka G-Mall Cinemas, Beyoğlu Alkazar Cinemas and Institute Français d’Istanbul theatres. Bonus Card owners will get a 50% discount in all screenings and the screenings in Institute Français will be free of charge.
